Automatic Recording on Startup
I have been trying to use the information in the documentation: https://www.dataq.com/helpfiles/di1100ant.html without any luck. I do not see any files in the locations mentioned in the instructions in the folders. Perhaps this is not the correct application
Subsampling data to Excel using a Count interval instead of a time frequency - DI-2108-P
Is it possible to record a subsample of all data based on an increment of the COUNT data. I am counting steps from an encoder and would like to only record the data every n steps. Is this possible in WinDaq or using an advanced trigger method? Thank
DI-2108P - Analog Inputs stuck on fixed value - not responding
We have had three new boards not work fine for a couple days and then the two analog inputs we are using get stuck with a fix voltage. No matter what the input voltage reads externally the analog inputs through the DataQ does not change. Has anyone experienced
Sampling rate in DataQ software
Dear, I have a problem with setting the desired sampling rate in my DataQ software ( DI-710-UL, operation system Windows 10Pro). For example, let us say that the desired throughput rate (or total scanning rate) equals to 4000 Hz. The problem is that the
WinDaq Stops Responding
We have a couple of DI-2008 modules that we use on multiple computers. I recently installed WinDaq on my normal work (Windows10) computer as the others were unavailable. The install went fine and the initial run of the software was fine. However after
DI-718-USB on Windows XP
This is in reference to case #6564. When I plug the USB cord in from my DI-718 and install the driver from C:\DATAQ\"DATAQ Instruments Drivers\usbftdi, I get the error; There was a problem installing the hardware: DATAQ DI-718-USB Windows cannot load
WinDaq no license information
I bought an unlocked, stand-alone mode DI-2108 from Amazon. I installed the WinDaq software from the included thumb drive. I notice that the software doesn't show who the software is licensed to. Is this something that I should have properly setup for
DI-149/HS can't record at more than 240 S/s
I have a DI-149/HS kit, S/N is 54EC8E86, but the displayed S/N in HELP, About is 54ECFFFF03. I tried to unlock the device with the corresponding PID, but displayed "value is illegal" . So I can't record at more than 240 S/s. Why this happened? How should
DI4718B-E with DI-8B38-05
I can only get 5V and i need to get to 10V. Where can i change the volt output/input I've tried to configure in stand alone and channel settings. In channel setting only has one option -5V/+5V. The load cell is 10V-20V.
DI-710-EL, Windaq, Windows 10
Hello, My main issue is with the Hardware manager. The manager does not see the 3 units i have unless i set them up as remotes. I can never see the units in the "Manage IP addresses" window. I would think that it cannot detect the mac addresses. I have
WinDaq Dashboard fails to launch WinDaq SW
If my Windows 10 system goes to sleep while the WinDaq SW is running, I get a dialog panel that the system may have gone to sleep, etc. But thereafter, if I try to launch it again from the WinDaq dashboard (via the Start WinDaq Software button), a splash
Windaq change default directory
How do I change the default directory where Windaq saves logged data?
Pre-Trigger data
I don't see a way to save pre-trigger data to a file. Is this function available?
DI-158U "Forgets" Default Setup
i may have originally put this in the wrong forum (DATAQ Hardware). Randomly, the DATAQ model DI-158U will "forget" the default setup. Opening a "reference file" does not transfer the settings back to the way they were set up. This is causing us to redo the settings when the program is opened. Sometimes, opening WinDaq will open correctly with the user defined settings. Other times, it opens with the out-of-the-box settings. How can we make our settings stick?
Anyway to calibrate thermocouples using windaq and DI-2008
Using DI-2008 with windaq to measuure some j type thermocouples. When channels are set to measure J type thermcouples they read consistently a few degrees high. However I don't see any option to calibrate this temperature. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.
DI-718B with 8B38-05 Isolated Strain Gauge Modules
Hello, I own a DI-718B data logger with 8B38-05 Isolated Strain Gauge Amplifier Modules. When hooked to a strain gauge (full-bridge), I find that the output voltage logged by the data logger is 2.5 Volts. What is the actual voltage measured across the strain gauge itself? 8B38-05: Input +/- 20 mV and Output +/- 5 V Is it just my output divided by 5 V / 20 mV = 250? Hence 2.5 V / 250 = 10 mV? Or is there a more accurate calibration done for each of the amplifier modules? I don't seem to have any calibration
Minimum Sample Rate when using Auto Start on System Boot
Greetings. I am trying to setup Windaq to auto-start when my PC boots up. I'm having decent success following the post linked below, with one exception. When Windaq launches, I get a popup telling me "sample rate [per channel] was raised to 0.0762 (minimum sample rate)." However, the data file I'm using to provide startup parameters has 4 channels enabled, a minimum sample rate of 0.00305/channel and a max of 100/channel. My desired rate is 0.016667 (1 sample per minute). From the blog: "[-F[d:path]setupfile]
Need to see 24 hours worth of Data on one Screen
I bought the DI-1100 and I need to see a and print a days worth (24 hours) of data I am collecting. We are running a science experiment for a year, and would like to have the data condensed visually.
Windaq installing only light version
I recently replaced my computer and am having to now reinstall Windaq - for some reason, even when I input my password/serial number from the DVD sleeve it still only installs the lite version. I have downloaded a fresh install from the web, still the same. My PC is a windows 7 Pro machine thanks Jeff
How to set the logging rate?
Is it possible to have a sample rate and a different logging rate? It is easy to find how to set the sample rate, but I am unable to find how to set the logging rate.
