Wireless Transmission of Data from Sensor to DAQ System

Is there a way to transmit data from a sensor to a DAQ system wirelessly? Like through Bluetooth? I know there are a lot of DAQ systems with bluetooth capabilities for transmitting data to a laptop, but what about the collection of data from a sensor wirelessly?
