WinDaq/XL Add a Device - Device Drivers

WinDaq/XL Add a Device - Device Drivers

If your hardware device does not automatically show up in the WinDaq/XL Device Settings box, it is possible to get a custom version of the software that allows you to manually add a device.  First attempt to open WinDaq/XL directly from WWB.  If this does not solve your problem, please create a support ticket with a request for the newXL_CustomDLL.exe download.

With the custom version of WinDaq/XL installed, select Add a Device.  When you select your hardware model, the device driver will show up in the Driver box.  Some hardware models are installed with virtual com ports, so if you have more than one DATAQ unit installed on your device then the driver may be different from the default.  Below is a list of the most common devices with their drivers.  Please post a support ticket if you are not able to determine the driver for your device.  You can also use WinDaq/XL directly from WinDaq Acquisition: https://help.dataq.com/portal/kb/articles/hardware-device-not-listed-in-the-select-the-windaq-device-box
